Participating in the Fannin County Fair Pageant is an excellent way for young ladies to develop
their talents, improve leadership skills & act as a positive rile-model for our youth today. Winners of
the pageant will be responsible for serving at the Fannin County Fair & serve our community the
following year.
Eligibility forms must be turned into the Fannin County Extension Office before the pageant
committee can conform with the Fair Board Policy to adhere to UIL rules & regulations.

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION: ALL FORMS, FEES, CURRENT REPORT CARDS,
RECORDED MUSIC, LYRICS & PICTURES ARE DUE IN THE FANNIN COUNTY EXTENSION
OFFICE ON OR BEFORE 5:00 P.M. SEPTEMBER 16, 2012. Information and fees can be turned
in ASAP, do not wait until the deadline!
MANDATORY MEETING – Location to be announced .
Time & Date will be September 28th at 5:00 p.m.
(Watch your local newspaper or call the Extension Office. ( Contestants will draw numbers at
this time.
Rules & Guidelines for Pageant:
1. Entrant should be enrolled in Grades Kindergarden thru 12th.
2. Entrants must reside and / or be enrolled in a Fannin County School.
3. Entrants must have a livestock, arts & crafts, or photography entry in the Fannin County Fair.
4. Entrant must maintain a passing grade.
5. Any interested girl who meets the qualifications may enter. Entrant will give a short talk or present
some type of entertainment, not exceeding three (3) minutes. Any entrant exceeding three (3) minute time
limit will receive a 10 (10) point deduction in the talent portion of the Judge’s ballot. Entrant is responsible
for making sure her presentation meets this guideline. Entrant may use live accompaniment, factory
recorded tapes and CD’s. The tapes or CE’s must be of good quality, appropriate to the entrant’s age,
with no vulgarity or profanity. A copy of the lyrics must be turned in with the music. No lead vocals are
allowed with the music. Entrant must be the lead singer, but background vocals are allowed.
6. Entrant is required to provide his / her own accompaniment. No piano or keyboard will be available.
7. Entrants in the Little Miss or Princess contest should wear tea-length, formal, or party dress. Hair and
makeup should reflect the age of the entrant. Judging will be scored accordingly.
8. Entrants in the Duchess or Queen contest should wear tea-length, formal or party dress. Hair and
makeup should reflect the age of the entrant. A positive role model serving our community and
representing Fannin County Fair must present herself modestly. Shoes are required.
9. Registration forms , eligibility forms, fees, recorded music, lyrics and pictures must be turned into
the Fannin County Extension Office (South Annex, 210 South Main, Bonham, TX) : ENTRIES WILL BE
TURNED IN BY 5:00 SEPTEMBER 16, 2011 before 5:00 p.m. at the Fannin County Agrilife Ofice. NOT LATE ENTRIES WILL BE EXCEPTED.
10. Entrant should enclose a one column size picture with entry form, fee, eligibility form from school,
recorded music and lyrics. Pictures may not be returned.

Friday October 7, 2010 South end of the Eldon Harrison Building
Princess Pageant 7:30 p.m.
Saturday October 8, 2010 South end of the Eldon Harrison Building
Duchess Pageant 2:00 p.m.
Queen Pageant 7:30 p.m.
12. Trophies, Banners, and Flowers will be presented to the winners and the 1st and 2nd runner-ups. All
entrants receive a participation trophy.
13. Former winners are not eligible to re-enter the pageant.
14. Winners and runner-ups will be required to pass out plaques and ribbons at the Livestock Show
on Thursday and Friday the following year of the pageant at the Fair. Winners and Runner-ups are
required to appear at four (4) Fannin County events throughout the year and serve eight (8) hours of
community service during their reign. Forms will be available to report the events attended and service
to the Fannin County Fair Board and Pageant Committee. ANYONE WHO DOES NOT
FULFILLTHESE DUTIES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 2012 FANNIN
COUNTY FAIR.
15. If the winner of the Queen Pageant should marry or be with child before the 2012 Fannin County Fair.
The First Runner-up will serve as Queen and fulfill the responsibility.
16. Judges will be chosen by the pageant committee. Judges will not be or have been a resident of
Fannin County. JUDGES DECISIONS AND SCORES ARE FINAL THE DAY OF THE CONTEST.
Score sheets will not be returned to entrants. *** In the event of a tie in the overall scores, the tie
breaker will be based on the talent portion of the scores. If the tie breaker is still needed, the interview
score will also be added.
